Haunted Collector

Haunted Collector is an American television reality series which airs on the Syfy cable television channel. The first season premiered on June 1, 2011, and ended on July 6, 2011. The series features a team of paranormal investigators led by demonologist John Zaffis, who investigates alleged haunted locations with the hopes of identifying and removing any on-site artifacts or trigger objects that may be the source of the supposed paranormal or poltergeist activity. The production of the second season started in December 2011, and premiered on June 6, 2012. On September 17, 2012, Syfy announced that the series has been renewed for 12-episode third season, which premiered on March 6, 2013.

"Case # 1 Donna Wagner in Stratford, CT, has had a ton of paranormal activity that includes seeing the apparition of a child, glass spontaneously shattering and her tenants getting scratched! Why is this happening all of a sudden? Donna is visibly shaken. In her home is an antique lamp that serves as a cigarette lighter, a pool table that belonged to the deceased former owner who had a troubled past, and a statue that the tenant had left behind: it was of her father, and it had been made in Belize. Could it be that the statue is cursed?? During the daytime sweep the team leave little cars in hopes of summoning the apparition of a child. They also marked the area with chalk to note any suspicious movements in the space. Meanwhile, John and Beth find they can't keep any batteries working in the basement, which could be attributed to a paranormal energy drain."

Then they travel to River Vale, New Jersey, site of the Baylor Massacre where a 21-year-old college student is the victim of the malevolent spirit of a British Revolutionary War soldier who keeps pinning him down to the bed while he sleeps. They also believe the owner's wood carved statue from the Bahamas ties in with the hauntings since the practice of obeah is steeped in sorcery and folk magic."

"John and the crew meet a woman named Michelle from Fairfield, CT who is hearing banging noises and something is scratching her horses. Michelle lives in a loft apartment near the barn where she keeps her animals, which she relies on for income from children's parties. Her property is jam packed with antiques, a gargoyle and a bizarre wood carving that Michelle buried down the road. The team investigates the home of a man and woman named Eric and Jessica. Eric has been taunted and scratched by ghosts with no explanations! The torment has made such an impact that Jessica has actually left her husband. The dogs have gone crazy to the point where one of the dogs chewed off its own tail."
